In December of 1995, Tracy began her work as an Associate Judge, and later a Judge in the Juvenile Court of Clayton County. In addition, she created a Second Chance Drug Court and helped to formulate the Student Based Protocol, which has led to a drastic reduction in delinquency filings, lower truancy rates, increased graduation rates, and higher test scores. As a result of her work and her colleagues’ work, the Clayton County Juvenile Court was recognized as a national model and an Annie E. Casey Foundation site.
Tracy received her law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law and her undergraduate degree in psychology and sociology from Duke University, where she was Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Prior to becoming a Juvenile Court Judge, Tracy was an Assistant District Attorney for ten years where she tried many difficult cases. In addition, during her time as an Assistant District Attorney, Tracy created the Asset Forfeiture Division, in which she maintains a strong expertise in addition to her Juvenile Delinquency Defense and Criminal Defense Practice.
