Mark Walker is a partner of the firm and a practicing commercial litigator for over 28 years. Mark has represented businesses, banks, financial institutions, local governments and individuals in the Metro Atlanta Region in his practice. Mark often represents parties related to loan note and guaranty obligations in commercial litigation.
Mark specializes in representing banks, creditors, local governments, lenders, landlords, businesses and individuals in civil litigation, commercial foreclosure actions, in lender liability matters and in bankruptcy proceedings. Mark has handled thousands of commercial foreclosure matters during his career. He has represented many lenders and creditors in federal bankruptcy courts.
Mark authored articles describing the commercial foreclosure process and defenses related to the commercial foreclosure process for the State Bar of Georgia. Mark has spoken at several CLE Seminars on representing commercial creditors and commercial debtors in the bankruptcy and foreclosure setting. Previously, Mark practiced lender liability and commercial litigation for Davis & Neel, Davis & Walker, and Walker & House, and subsequently merged his practice into Hecht Walker, PC. Prior to gaining his law degree, Mark worked in banking with Florida State Bank.
Mark gained his Juris Doctorate from the Walter F. George School of Law in 1987, and he gained his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Valdosta State University in 1983. In college, Mark was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society and president of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
Mark and his wife Mary live in Henry County, Georgia with their two sons, Cole and Jamie Walker.
